GIPHY Arts: What’s your favorite GIF/ sticker?
El Chico Tabla: This one for sure:
GA: What’s your fav gif within your body of work?
ECT: My fav gif is the “Horny” one. I love it because its pretty direct. The heart wants what it wants.
GA: What does Pride mean to you?
ECT: Pride means being able to express yourself and love whoever you wanna love.
GA: Can you show us what you’re working on right now?
ECT: I am currently working on some new enamel pins for my store, they are gonna be super cute! Expect them to be animated soon in GIFs ;)

GIPHY Arts: What’s your favorite GIF/ sticker?
Nate Makuch: The original shadetress herself - Mariah
GA: What’s your fav gif within your body of work?
NM: Ranch Daddy. He knows how to have a good time.
GA: What does Pride mean to you?
NM: To me pride is about ditching shame and being visible. It’s also about recognizing the people who made it possible to do that. I am eternally grateful to the LGBT community who came before me and particularly the trans women of color who paved the way for my generation to live a simple and happy life out of the shadows.
GA: Can you show us what you’re working on right now?
NM: Still super rough but I’m working on a homo-fied version of the Last Supper with oiled men and wigs!

We’re kicking off this week’s Pride series by interviewing writer, director, and visual artist, Samuel Leighton-Dore. Here’s what Samuel has to say about GIFs, stickers, queer culture and more!

Sam: I really love the cheeky/queer icongraphy of @xtn_love’s GIPHY channel:
GA: What’s your fave GIF within your body of work?
S: My fave GIFs in my own body of work would have to be my Janelle Monáe ‘Pynk’ sticker, as well as my ‘rainbow vom’ sticker.
GA: What does Pride mean to you?
S: To me, Pride means having the strength to know and express my authentic self, while honouring those who fought to give me the freedom to do so.
GA: Can you show us what you’re working on right now?
S: Right now I’m working on developing my first solo art show around the theme of fragile masculinity, incorporating ceramics, paintings and GIFS.
