What was the first GIF you made?

I started to make perpetual motion videos in 2009. Then in 2011 I converted some of them into GIFs and uploaded them to my tumblr blog. It all began with this one:

What kind of a process do you go through to create your art?

I start with shooting the video. It’s usually a self performance, sometimes with an instrument like a flashlight or a flag, etc. Then the editing process is done by AfterEffects and Photoshop.

Why GIF art?

GIF is perfect for my looping videos and easy to share. It’s so nice that you don’t need a player.
