🌈Meet GIPHY Artist: Meet Nate Makuch 🌈
We’re celebrating Pride Month by featuring artists whose work reflects different aspects of LGBTQIA culture. In this installment, we interviewed LA based artist, Nate Makuch. Here’s what Nate had to say about GIFs, stickers, queer culture and more!
GIPHY Arts: What’s your favorite GIF/ sticker?
Nate Makuch: The original shadetress herself - Mariah
GA: What’s your fav gif within your body of work?
NM: Ranch Daddy. He knows how to have a good time.
GA: What does Pride mean to you?
NM: To me pride is about ditching shame and being visible. It’s also about recognizing the people who made it possible to do that. I am eternally grateful to the LGBT community who came before me and particularly the trans women of color who paved the way for my generation to live a simple and happy life out of the shadows.
GA: Can you show us what you’re working on right now?
NM: Still super rough but I’m working on a homo-fied version of the Last Supper with oiled men and wigs!
